San Mateo, Calif.(Dec. 9, 2003) -- NetSuite Inc., manufacturer of OracleSmall Business Suite, has unveiled new technology that customizes its online applications in the manner of traditional, "self- managed" applications.
Users and resellers of NetSuite Inc. can now have alter its products with the addition of database tables and custom code. For customers, NetSuite complements configurable elements such as user-defined dashboards and the ability to add an unlimited number of custom fields with customization features including NetSuite Custom Records and NetSuite Custom Code.
The Custom Records feature allows businesses to define their own custom record sets, which can be related to standard records within NetSuite in a one-to-one or one-to-many manner. With Custom Code businesses can perform simple field validations, such as enforcing that phone numbers are entered in a particular format or more complex business rules such as enforcing sales methodologies.
The NetSuite Account Cloning function allows resellers and solution providers to create industry-specific templates that can be cloned, providing a proprietary solution replicable to customers within a specific industry. Customers can subsequently tailor that solution to their specific company, department, and individual needs.
