Ed Offterdinger has been promoted to executive managing partner at Top 100 Firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP, while partner Matthew Hallam will succeed him as partner-in-charge of the firm's Washington, D.C., office. In addition, Jere Shawver has been appointed to a new firm-wide risk services leadership position.
[IMGCAP(1)] As executive managing partner, Offterdinger will supervise Baker Tilly's tax, assurance and consulting managing partners, as well as its sales, marketing and HR functions. He will also work closely with the firmwide industry leaders who are charged with leading growth for the major industry verticals.
"Ed's extensive experience in both operations and strategic planning will allow him to have an immediate and positive impact," said Baker Tilly CEO Tim Christen. "He will still be based in D.C. and will utilize his extensive knowledge of that market to assist Matt and Jere. At the same time, he'll spearhead our firmwide efforts to uncover new opportunities while ensuring we're also expanding our capabilities with the best people and training programs for our staff."
[IMGCAP(2)] Hallam will oversee operations for the firm's 300-person office in Tysons Corner, Va., and will continue to manage the D.C. office's Tax and Assurance Group. Shawver will continue to serve as managing partner for the D.C. office's consulting practice.
