FLORIDA

CPAmerica International selected its 2015 board of directors. Chip Helme, leading partner at Thompson Greenspon, is the new chair of the board. Greenspon succeeds Bryan Chandler, parter at JamisonMoneyFarmer PC. Joseph Ciccarello, a parter at Gray, Gray & Gray LLP, has been elected to the vice chair/chair-elect. Brad Steward and Scott Voynich are returning board members. Timothy Arter, John Lauer, Robert Mcgowan and Jack Savage are newly-elected board members.

GEORGIA

Wendy Smith has joined the staff of Turner Patat. Smith has experience in the health care industry, the private sector and small businesses. Smith received her bachelors degree in accounting from Georgia Southern University. She is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kristi Juneau has also joined the staff of Turner Patat. She holds a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and a masters of accountancy from Auburn University. Juneau has more than nine years of public accounting experience and specializes in individual, partnership, trust and corporate income tax.

MISSOURI

Jennifer Webb has joined Abeles and Hoffman as a staff accountant. Prior to Abeles and Hoffman, Webb was a senior auditor at a local accounting firm.

NEW YORK

William McGinley has joined Gettry Marcus as a senior manager in the Accounting and Audit Group. He has experience assisting clients with business restructures and taking advantage of tax depreciation laws resulting in significant tax savings. Prior to joining the firm, McGinley was a senior manager at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP, where he was employed for over 10 years. McGinley is a graduate of Hofstra University. Maggie Wong joins the firm as a tax manager. She specializes in servicing clients in a broad range of industries with a concentration in wholesale, retail, manufacturing and publishing. Wong manages and reviews tax engagements of C and S Corporations, Partnerships, High Net Worth Individuals and Trusts returns. Prior to joining the firm, Wong worked as a tax manager for CBIZ MHM LLC for 14 years. She is a graduate of Baruch College. Jason Goldberg has joined the firm as a senior accountant in the tax group. He specializes in the preparation of tax returns, including individual, partnership, Corporation and trust returns. Goldberg also performs accounting services for a diverse range of clientele. Prior to joining Gettry Marcus, he worked for EisnerAmper LLP for six years in Private Business Services. Goldberg is a graduate of Yeshiva University and is an active member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of CPAs. Kaitlyn Carballeira joins as staff accountant. A 2014 Cum Laude graduate of Fordham University, Kaitlyn received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and was on the Dean’s list all four years.

NORTH CAROLINA

Effie Logue has joined DHG’s leadership team as chief people officer. Logue will be responsible for the recruitment, development and growth of DHG’s employees, with a particular focus on leading Millennial recruitment and diversity initiatives.
