Frederick Chilton Jr., has joined KPMG LLP, as the international tax lead for the firm’s technology sector. Based in Silicon Valley,Chilton brings extensive experience to the firm, having assisted leading technology companies with a range of complex cross-border tax matters, including international tax planning and compliance, tax controversy, and transfer pricing issues. Dave Enick has been promoted to managing director at CBIZ Kirkland, Russ, Murphy and Tapp in Tampa. Enick will focus on providing audit, review, purchase accounting and business advisory services to private equity groups and their portfolio companies, SEC registrants and closely held businesses. He will also lead the Transaction Advisory Practice, which is focused on middle market M&A activity. Sheri Fiske Schultz, director of Litigation Support and Business Valuation Services for Fiske & Company, has been recognized by the South Florida Legal Guide as one of the “Top CPAs and Financial Support Professionals” for 2014.

Anita Sheckells, a director at KatzAbosch, has been named Woman of the Year by the Associated Builders and Contractors Baltimore Metro Chapter. A long-time ABC Baltimore member and volunteer leader, Sheckells co-founded the construction group at KatzAbosch, which has made her a mentor and role model for other young women to join the industry. This past year Sheckells was a mentor for the inaugural year of the Young Leaders’ Professional Development Program. After many active years on the Women in ABC (WABC) committee, she served as this years’ chair of the WABC Women’s Empowerment Day, which provides a full day of education for the women of My Sister's Place Women's Center.

Christian Leuz has joined the Center for Economic Analysis as an economic advisor at The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Leuz, the Joseph Sondheimer Professor of International Economics, Finance and Accounting at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, will advise the PCAOB on the development of analyses and metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of its programs, among other projects . Cindy Fornelli, executive director of the American Accounting Association, and Margot Cella, director of research, received the Special Award of Merit to Center for Audit Quality.
