For his services to the entertainment industry, the late Bob Philpott has been named Entertainment Accountant of the Year by the California Society of CPAs and CalCPA Education Foundation. The award was presented to Philpott’s son, Aaron, at the 2015 Entertainment Industry Conference held today at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. Jeremy Dillard has joined SingerLewak, LLP as a partner in their Woodland Hills office where he’ll focus on audits and reviews of private companies. Dillard also currently serves on the AICPA Accounting and Review Services Committee, which issues the professional standards for review and compilation engagements. Jeff Malo will join Andersen Tax as a managing director in the firm’s U.S. National Tax office where he will focus on federal and state research credits. He has over 15 years of experience in both tax and government service. Prior to Andersen Tax, Malo was a Client Tax Services Partner at WTP Advisors where he was the leader of the Research Credit and Interest and Penalty Advisory practices.
