Jeremy Wheeler has been named as the new director of audit services at Hall & Company. Wheeler will help the firm broaden its reach in technology, consumer, manufacturing and real estate sectors. Wheeler is an experienced auditor having worked for more than 12 years at the Orange County office of KPMG, where his experience included blue chip company accounts in the technology sector, and also focused on manufacturing and consumer markets companies. … Jacob Azar has joined Lindquist LLP as the director of Nonprofit Organization Practice Services. Azar will be based in Southern California in Lindquist LLP’s Orange office. … Chad Thiel joins Andersen Tax as managing director and will lead the Orange County practice. Prior to joining Andersen Tax, Thiel spent six years at McGladrey as a tax practitioner and leader of the Family Wealth Services practice for the West Region. … Francois Chadwick has been named National Tax Leader for the Venture Capital at KPMG. He brings 20 years of client experience serving publicly and privately held venture-backed companies to this new role. Francois currently serves as the VC tax leader in the Bay Area Business Unit and is a member of the management committee in KPMG’s San Francisco office. ... Intacct’s  CEO, Robert Reid, has been named the No.1 CEO on GrowthCap's list of the Top 25 CEO's in Financial Technology. The GrowthCap list of top CEOs includes executives who have mastered the art of building and scaling complex, secure financial technology solutions. Reid's ranking was based on Intacct's outstanding revenue growth, dominance in the field, capital raised, and his overall career performance. ... Susan Andrews Casillas has returned to EY’s Los Angeles office as an Executive Director in Tax for the Private Client Services practice. Casillas worked at EY for four years in the estate tax group before moving on to other client service positions including Tax Director at PwC and Tax Partner at Temo Arjani, LLP.

COLORADO

Manda Dinkel has been promoted to director at StarkSchenkein LLP. Dinkel joined the StarkSchenkein team in 2011. She has been in the accounting profession for over 15 years. She currently, she manages the audit department and supervises seniors and staff in all aspects of the department. Dinkel works with a variety of clients, with specialization in non-profit audits and audits for publicly traded companies.

MASSACHUSETTS

Lee Ann Bruno has joined G.T. Reilly & Company’s Business Services Department, which provides accounting and bookkeeping support to smaller businesses and nonprofits. Bruno previously was a self-employed consultant with experience in accounting, tax and QuickBooks implementation, training and support. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley University. Gena Schulz also joined the firm’s Business Services Department. Schulz previously worked as an office manager and bookkeeper. She has experience working with small business clients, including QuickBooks© implementation.

MICHIGAN

Cynthia Richmond and Casey Wendling have joined Maner Costerisan as a senior consultant and staff accountant, respectively.

MINNESOTA

David Stene, partner in the Minneapolis office of Eide Bailly, HLB USA, has been elected as the Chairman of HLB International. Stene most recently served as HLB USA Chairman, Chair of the Minnesota Society of CPAs and is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Council, its governing body. Stene takes over from Mogens Andersen, HLB International’s Chairman since 2009 and Partner at HLB Beierholm in Denmark. … Brandon Loeschner, a partner in RubinBrown’s Business Advisory Services Group, was awarded with the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants’ 2014 Outstanding Public Service Award. Richard Wile has joined RubinBrown as partner. The firm also added Richard Pickettas manager. Both Wile and Pickett will lead RubinBrown’s new Research & Experimentation Tax Credit Practice. ... Antoine Van Horen, a partner at EY since 2000, is relocating to New York as a member of the National Tax Department’s International Tax Services. Van Horen had been a partner in the organization’s UK International Tax Services practice since 2000 and most recently in EY Sweden’s Transaction Tax Services practice since 2002.... Dannible & McKee LLP tax partner Richard Maxwell has contributed an article to The Journal of The Architectural Engineering Management Association’s September 2014 issue. Maxwell’s article, “Establishing an IC-DISC to Achieve Permanent Federal Tax Savings on Design Projects Located Abroad,” focuses on information regarding potential Federal tax saving opportunities provided to architecture and engineering firms on projects located abroad.

OREGON

PENNSYLVANIA

James Revels, a tax partner at Citrin Cooperman in Philadelphia, has been selected as one of the 2014 "Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals" for Pennsylvania by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals. … Bill Brewslawski has been admitted to the partnership at Maillie LLP. Breslawski joined Maillie in 1995, and has extensive experience with clients in the areas of real estate, manufacturing, not-for-profits and government organizations, and he has a special expertise in tax and auditing. In addition, Bill oversees Human Resources for the firm.

VIRGINIA

Helen Madorma has joined Thompson Greenspon as an audit senior and Evelyn Denwiddie as a tax staff accountant to the firm. Madorma joins the firm with several years of public accounting experience providing tax and audit services to individuals, corporations, and nonprofits. Helen has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from George Mason University and is an active board member of Kiwanis Club of Manassas Battlefield. Prior to Thompson Greenspon, Denwiddie worked for a small family owned tax preparation firm, where she worked on individual returns. In addition, Evelyn has also gained experience as an internal auditor for a major grocer and an external auditor for a public accounting firm. Evelyn has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Howard University and is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), the Virginia Society of Enrolled Agents (VASEA) and the Northern Virginia Chapter of VASEA.
