Price Kong Merges in Bernard & Stallman

Arizona accounting firm Price, Kong & Co. CPAs has combined forces with Bernard & Stallman P.C.

The merger took effect on August 1 after months of negotiation, according to business development manager Tim Woodard.

Gerald Bernard and Gary Stallman have been working together for the past 22 years providing tax and accounting services to local, national and international clients. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“The level of expertise and professionalism that Jerry and Gary bring to our firm is unsurpassed, having both been IRS agents, and Jerry a nationally published author on IRS audit guidelines and techniques,” said Woodard.

Along with a co-author, Bernard has written four books published by Wiley. He also volunteers on several state and federal tax committees.

Stallman is a QuickBooks certified professional adviser and a member of the Information Technology Section of the American Institute of CPAs.

They and four senior staff accountants and two administrative assistants will be joining Phoenix-based Price, Kong & Co.

Price, Kong & Co. dates back to 1967 and offers accounting, tax and consulting services. It offers additional services through two related companies, PK Financial Strategies, LLC and PK Technologies, LLC. Price Kong is a member of the PKF North America network and is affiliated with PKF International.

Bernard & Stallman is moving from its Phoenix offices to Price Kong's expanding offices. The combined firm plans to hold an open house after construction is completed to introduce clients to its new home and partners.
