Pennsylvania regional accounting firm Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP plans to expand to York, Pa., by merging in Philip R. Friedman & Associates.
The merger will add a fourth office to the firms existing offices in Reading, Lancaster and Harrisburg. The three partners and 16 employees at the York office will all be part of the combined firm, which will have a team of approximately 200 employees, including 31 partners, after the merger takes effect on Aug. 1.
This merger is strategically important as it will expand our geographic footprint. said Reinsel Kuntz Lesher CEO Andrew Weidman in a statement. Also, by combining professional staff and resources, we can better serve the needs of our new and existing clients throughout the Central Pennsylvania region.
The two firms were in talks for about six months to a year about the merger, and met through networking, according to spokesperson Ellie Hogentogler.
