Bruce Darkes has joined Reinsel Kuntz Lesher as partner. Darkes joined the firm as part of a merger where RKL merged in Darkes, Peachey & Wilbert. The merger took effect on Oct. 1, 2014.
[IMGCAP(1)] Darkes, who has 28 years of experience in the profession and the founder of DPW, will work in the firm’s tax services group. He will provide tax planning and compliance solutions for privately-held companies, its owners and management teams. Darkes specializes in estate planning, merger and acquisition structuring, tax accounting method optimization, entity selection and restructuring and tax credit utilization and planning.
Darkes earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Accounting from University of Arizona.
Jeremy Peachey and Karen Wilbert, the remaining team of DPW, were named managers in the RKL’s tax services group.
[IMGCAP(2)] Peachey has 11 years of experience in the accounting profession and was the managing partner at DPW. He will now work on tax planning and compliance services at RKL. His previous professional experience also includes working as the director of treasury operations in the health care industry and a tax manager at a regional accounting firm.
Peachey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Messiah College and a Master’s in Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from American University. He resides in Mechanicsburg.
[IMGCAP(3)] Karen Wilbert, who was a partner at DPW, has more than 20 years of experience in the profession. Wilbert will work with privately-held companies and not-for-profit organizations on their diverse tax planning and compliance needs of. In addition, she brings extensive experience in CFO outsourcing, business consulting and financial planning and operations to the firm. She previously worked as a CFO in the environmental testing industry and the vice president of a statewide industry association.
Wilbert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Lebanon Valley College.
