RSM US announces winners of 2021 Innovation Challenge

RSM US announced the winners of its 2021 Innovation Challenge, its annual competition in which professionals "develop innovative solutions that address business challenges and opportunities."

Some 340 professionals spanning the U.S., Canada and El Salvador submitted their solutions this past May for various business topics, ranging from cost-saving processes to new technology tools. The winning idea is then implemented across the firm.

More than 60 teams ultimately submitted prototypes of their work, making it the firm's largest Innovation Challenge to date. Submissions were sent through RSM’s Innovation Hub, an online platform for managing staff's ideas, which were then examined by a panel of judges who selected the top three solutions. All RSM staff members were asked to vote for one of the three finalists to determine a winner.

“We’re proud of our people for all of their hard work and for demonstrating their dedication to pursuing innovation excellence,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO of RSM US, in a statement. “Our Innovation Challenge underscored this sizable commitment. Based on the depth of the many creative and impressive ideas that were submitted, it’s abundantly clear that our people are embracing an innovative mindset to develop real solutions that will keep us competitive for years to come.”

This year's winning submission was the Supply Chain Trusted Network, which will support RSM’s clients with a "trusted, compliant and transparent" supply chain network. Team members include Luis Avila, Giacomo Apadula, Nico Guetatchew, Bart Huthwaite, Dara Castle, Casey Chapman and Andrew Samuelson.
