Sage Adds Cloud Services for SMBs

Sage North America announced new programs Monday to support business partners in preparing their businesses to deliver cloud-based services to their customers through a new educational curriculum, and the Sage Partner Marketing Platform.

To assist its partners with the transition to offer more cloud-services, Sage is introducing the Sage Partner Transition Journey, an educational program consisting of development symposiums, workshops, and webcasts on leadership and functional business aspects specifically around the evolving Web business model.

The Sage Partner Marketing Platform provides content that partners can build within their own Web sites that answers prospective customer questions and provides resources to help customers learn more. Sage partners will be able to use e-marketing campaigns that can be tailored for their individual use, as well as integrated online marketing campaigns that incorporate social media, whitepapers, live events and other content.

“We are investing in partners that want to invest in Sage to grow their business and, over time, we will offer more programs and services that help partners evolve with the ever-changing market,” said Tom Miller, vice president of channel management for Sage.  “What we are experiencing in the market is that we need to think about new business models, and the firm of the future is moving from a service economy to a knowledge economy. Our Web strategy here is essentially a workshop for partners, two days of intense learning, looking at seven specific business models and seeing where they fit.”
