Sage Appoints New CTO, Hires Former Yahoo! Exec

IMGCAP(1)] Himanshu Palsule has been tapped as the chief technology officer for Sage North America. Palsule will be at the helm of product strategy and research and development, and will guide the strategic direction for products and services.   

“Himanshu will help us focus on the issues that small and midsized business care about most and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations,” Sage North America CEO Pascal Houillon, said in a statement.  

Palsule joined Sage North America in 1997 and moved up the ranks from general manager to executive vice president of strategy. He specialized in the company’s enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management solution products.  

[IMGCAP(2)] Sage North America also announced that it hired former Yahoo! executive Brad Smith as executive vice president of customer experience. In his new role, Smith will focus on customer support operations for the North America division. 

“Brad’s strong background and commitment to superior customer experiences is the perfect fit for Sage, where we value every customer contact and aim to deliver beyond customer expectations,” said Houillon, in a separate statement. 

Palsule and Smith will report directly to Houillon.
