Sage Software introduced new versions of three products in its MAS line, adding environmentally friendly enhancements and new business intelligence features.
Version 7.2 of Sage MAS 500 ERP includes a new browser-based business intelligence dashboard, integration tools and workflow enhancements. The dashboard allows one-click access to analytical and collaborative tools and the ability to create a personalized view of up-to-date sales statistics, key financial data, business metrics, industry news and competitive intelligence. The data import manager uses a mapping wizard to import transactions from external systems.
Workflow enhancements include template creation and merge functions for Microsoft Office 2007 users, along with warehouse automation features such as pick by order, pick by shipment, automatic e-mail notifications to back-office personnel, and an expanded audit trail. Project accounting enhancements support new billing options for accounts payable expenses, time and materials, and fixed-price-plus projects.
Version 4.3 of Sage MAS 90 ERP and MAS 200 ERP is aimed at small and midsized businesses, respectively. It includes a business insights explorer feature with business intelligence, workflow and reporting tools, along with a dashboard showing key performance indicators. Environmentally friendly features include support for document imaging, e-mail, electronic filing of taxes, e-fax, computerized storage and direct deposit.
