The Sales Tax Institute is calling for applications for its first-ever Sales Tax Nerd Award, which will recognize a sales tax professional for their passion for the field.
Applicants must have attended at least one institute course, currently work in sales tax in some professional capacity and “demonstrate a commitment to learning and a passion for indirect tax.” Otherwise, there are no experience or title requirements.
The winner will be notified in late October, and will receive a physical award and a digital medal, complimentary registration to an STI course of their choice and an item of Sales Tax Nerd apparel.
The Sales Tax Institute, a division of Yetter Tax, provides sales and use tax education and resources, and aims to elevate the status of sales tax and sales tax professionals in accounting and finance.
