Second City Comics Help Accountants with Marketing

The marketing services division of the Second City comedy troupe has been enlisted by accounting firm network PKF to teach its members how to use humor to improve their marketing.

Second City will present its improvisational comedy methods and marketing tactics at a gathering of PKF North American Network business development and marketing executives in Chicago on Sept. 22-23.

Speakers from Second City will explain how accounting firms can use improv techniques to market their services to clients.

"Marketing is all about reaching people and connecting to their needs in ways that make them sit up and pay attention," said Second City president Tom Yorton in a statement.
