ShareFile Releases Enterprise-Level Synchronization

Secure file exchange service ShareFile has released Enterprise Sync, a tool designed with server-based capabilities including scheduling, tracking, and reporting, along with the ability to continuously synchronize files and folders.

Enterprise Sync offers flexibility for scheduling synchronization jobs to run continuously or at specific times and dates based on business requirements. One-way synchronization can be configured if two-way synchronization is not permitted for security reasons. The new tool can also run on a desktop or laptop computer, and in a hosted environment.

"We are ready to move to the next level of business file sharing by providing…enterprise-level file synchronization,” said ShareFile chief executive Jesse Lipson. “With more complex file sharing needs than consumers, our customers have requested advanced functionality like the ability to run our sync tools on their file servers, as well as one-way sync and the ability to schedule and track file synchronization jobs on a granular level.”

The company claims accounting firms are its number one vertical, though their service is also geared largely towards small and midsized businesses.
