Frank Jakosz has joined Sikich LLP as its new partner for its not-for-profit services practice. In his role, Jakosz will oversee business development for the practice and serve numerous new clients.
Before joining Sikich, he served as the partner-in-charge of the National Not-for-Profit Audit Practice and the Midwest Region Not-for-Profit Practice division at Grant Thornton LLP, and the Director of Not-for-Profit Services for the Lake Michigan Area at Ernst & Young LLP.
Jakosz has 29 years of experience working in the not-for-profit accounting industry. He will work alongside partner-in-charge, Gary Flori, and partner, Ray Krouse.
In addition to providing a variety of consulting services, the group conducts audits for civic and community organizations, colleges and universities, religious and cultural organizations, private foundations, trade and professional organizations and many voluntary health and welfare organizations.
Jakosz has co-authored several publications, including the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide Not-for-Profit Organizations, AICPA Not-for-Profit Entities Industry Developments -- Audit Risk Alert, Not-for-Profit Organizations Industry Developments, AICPA Not-for-Profit Entities Accounting Trends & Techniques and the AICPA Not-for-Profit Entities Checklists & Illustrative Financial Statements.
Jakosz is an active member at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society and the Financial Accounting Standards Board. For the AICPA, Jakosz currently serves on the Technical Standards Subcommittee of the Ethics Division and the Alternative Investments Taskforce. He is also a member of the FASB NFP Resource Group.
Jakosz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from DePaul University.
