Increased demand for its managed services business has caused Skoda Minotti Technology Partners to hire three seasoned technology professionals for the practice.

Managed services has been a part of the technology practice for the past several years, however increased client demand – particularly for moving much of their operations to the cloud – prompted the firm to hire more experienced staff, most recently Paul Tuttle, Bob Evans, and Donald Jones.

Tuttle joins the Technology Partners practice as business development director, bringing over 25 years of sales, marketing, consulting and development experience in both commercial and not-for-profit settings. Tuttle has specialty training in the technology business development field, representing a wide spectrum of IT solutions from enterprise-wide VoIP, to mobile computing and comprehensive managed technology services

Evans joins the firm as client network engineer III from a position as a senior network engineer/virtualization engineer for Akron, Ohio-based Roetzel & Andress in Akron.

Jones also joins the firm as client network engineer III from his own consulting company, where he was the solutions architect. Previously, he held the position of solutions architect/operations manager with Ashton Technology Solutions and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt.

“About a year ago we created a data center for clients and it’s now a first-class center where we can bring clients in and do a whole host of offerings for those moving off of their servers or who no longer want to maintain theirs. With that, we need guys with experience in here to manage it,” said Jim Sacher, partner-in-charge of Skoda Minotti Technology Partners. “Our clients like the idea of knowing where their data is, so for us the data center is a competitive advantage. We are also getting into more complicated applications where clients haven't updated in a while or they don’t have any kind of virtualization or offsite backup. You need senior guys who can do this and clients can’t afford to hire someone like that in house so we do it.”
