MSCRM on the go
Since leashes are frowned upon, and electronic ankle brace- lets are reserved strictly for criminals, companies looking for ways to keep in constant contact with their employees often resort to wireless handhelds like the wildly popular BlackBerry. To make the BlackBerry even more useful, TenDigits Software has introduced MobileAccess for Microsoft CRM, an easy-to-implement solution that links remote users to the customer relationship management software back at the home office.
BlackBerry addicts can now get instant access to their contact, account, lead and opportunity records, and make changes on the fly that are instantly stored on their handheld and in the office system. The interface is intuitive, and lets users work on and navigate multiple records simultaneously.

Kintera, a provider of online software solutions for nonprofit organizations, recently announced the "Export to Accounting" release of its Kintera Sphere to integrate the software platform, which includes customer relationship management, Web content management, e-marketing and directed-giving applications, with the FundWare accounting package (which Kintera acquired late in 2004), as well as Microsoft Business Solutions' Great Plains. Users can now map all of their financial transactions from Kintera Sphere into general ledger journals for import into the two accounting applications; there is also a general export format that can integrate with most other general ledger software.

10-K Lookup on ARM
To the extensive accounting and financial reporting guidance and information already available on its Accounting Research Manager platform, CCH has now added access to actual Securities and Exchange Commission Edgar filings, through a partnership with 10-K Wizard Technology. Users can now switch seamlessly from looking at rules in ARM to examining real-life examples of filings, with a database of Edgar filings going back to 1994. The filings are indexed and posted as soon as they are filed, and are fully text-searchable.

If your password and personal identity information sits still - on, say, your desktop computer or your company's server - it's vulnerable to hackers and identity thieves. If you hide it entirely, on the other hand, it won't be vulnerable, but it also won't be much use. Siber System's Pass2Go software lets you put all that password and digital identity management information, including banking and credit card information, onto a portable USB drive, which you can carry around on your key chain. When you want to fill in a form at an Internet cafe, log into an online account at an airport, or access your address book at a convention hall, you simply plug the drive into a USB port, and all your personal information is right there - and once you remove the drive, all traces of your information are removed as well. Now all you have to worry about are pickpockets.
