SS&G Forms Management Consulting Unit

CPA firm SS&G has merged in The Parkland Group, a Cleveland-based management consulting firm, to create SS&G Parkland Consulting LLC.

The new consultancy will focus on services such as business bankruptcies and turnarounds. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. SS&G ranked 41st on Accounting Today’s 2012 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $70.7 million in annual revenue.

“The addition of The Parkland Group strengthens our bankruptcy and insolvency expertise while adding management consulting and turnaround services that will benefit our clients,” said SS&G managing director Mark Goldfarb, CPA. “This move supports SS&G’s growth strategy while providing businesses access to services they can’t find anywhere else. Many companies need help in this economy. With our unique services and a focus on providing the best possible client service, we can assist in a way no other firm can.”

SS&G Parkland’s main consulting services will include bankruptcy and receiverships, business valuation, fraud detection and deterrence, investment banking and corporate finance, litigation consulting, management consulting and strategy, turnarounds, workouts and restructuring.

Joining Parkland with SS&G helps provide clients broader services that make a bigger impact,” said Goddard. “So many companies across the country need the services we offer.
