Accounting firm association Kreston International has named Sue Almond as director of quality and professional standards.
Almond was recruited from Grant Thornton UK LLP, where she served as national assurance services partner. She is deputy chairman of the U.K. Institute of Chartered Accountants in England Wales International Standards on Auditing Implementation Committee and has been an active member of the ICAEW Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Panel, the ICAEW Technical and Practical Auditing Committee, the advisory panel to the European Group of Auditors' Oversight Bodies on ISA implementation and the World Economic Forum Partnering Against Corruption Initiative external assurance group working on bribery and corruption.
