Nearly 70 percent of individual returns were e-filed, compared to 61 percent for the same period last year.

Refund anticipation loan requests declined by 15 percent to 8.4 million. At the same time, taxpayers requesting RACs, which are taxpayer refunds deposited into a temporary bank account from which return preparation fees can be paid, increased by 10 percent to 11.5 million.
