ACL UNVEILS ANALYTICS EXCHANGE V. 4

Vancouver, B.C. -- Audit and risk management producer ACL has released Version 4 of its Analytics Exchange product - formerly ACL AuditExchange - with enhancements designed to enable adjacent departments, including finance, risk and compliance, to identify control deficiencies such as fraud and revenue leakage. The upgrade powers two offerings serving different business structures: Data Analysis for Teams, and Enterprise Continuous Monitoring.

 

SAGE ENHANCES PAYROLL AND OTHERS IN 300 ERP 2012

Irvine, Calif. -- Sage North America has released Product Update 1 for Sage 300 ERP 2012, including -- among other improvements -- 20 new enhancements to the Payroll module designed to simplify payroll processing and improve payroll reporting and compliance. Companies that use Sage 300 ERP Payroll for in-house processing can now provide their employees with access to Sage Source, a personalized connected service.

 

THOMSON REUTERS CREATES INDIRECT TAX SOFTWARE CLOUD

New York -- The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has introduced a cloud-based version of its software for managing sales and use taxes and value-added taxes. The system, which is hosted in Thomson Reuters' hosting center, undergoes an annual SSAE 16 audit by an AICPA-accredited firm, an annual application security assessment performed by a leading third-party security firm, and weekly vulnerability infrastructure scans.

 

CPA2BIZ ADDS NEW FEATURES TO E-MAIL SERVICE

New York -- CPA2Biz has made several improvements to its CPA.com e-mail service, including more storage space and access to Google functions. The e-mail service launched last year and targets members of the AICPA who either do not have an e-mail address, or want a more branded alternative to consumer Web e-mail services. New enhancements include 5 gigabytes of free online storage through Google Drive, access to Google Talk, and the ability for subscribers to the forward-only service to upgrade to the full-feature version.
