AICPA SETS LAUNCH DATE FOR REVAMPED CPA EXAM

The American Institute of CPAs has scheduled Jan. 1, 2011, as the official launch date of CBT-e, or Computer-Based Testing evolution, a modernized version of the Uniform CPA Examination that will also update the content of the exam, including questions about IFRS.

Also starting on Jan. 1, 2011, new authoritative literature will be released based on the FASB Codification of accounting standards, and a new research task format will be introduced on the CPA Examination. A new tutorial and sample tests will be released in the fall of 2010.

The AICPA plans to release more details about each of the scheduled changes, including the transfer of written communication tasks from various parts of the exam to the Business Environment and Concepts Section.

IPHONE ACCESS FOR NETSUITE

San Mateo, Calif. - NetSuite has introduced an Apple iPhone and iTouch app that provides mobile access to its Web-based enterprise resource planning software, including NetSuite dashboards, sales order records and customer records, as well as users' NetSuite calendars and task lists. THOMSON REUTERS INTEGRATES NETCLIENT CS PORTAL

Dexter, Mich. - Thomson Reuters has added integration features to its NetClient CS client portal technology, including integrating more directly with UltraTax CS, allowing users to print Web organizers and completed tax returns directly to a portal. A new Source Document Flow feature allows source documents from FileCabinet CS to flow automatically to the client portal with a finished tax return.
