Thomson Reuters has completed its previously announced acquisition of tax automation concern Manatron and with the purchase, said it would fold Manatron into a newly created government business unit within the Tax & Accounting business.

The new group will be helmed by Bill McKinzie, senior vice president and general manager of the government sector of Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting.

In June, Thomson Reuters said it was acquiring Manatron from Thoma Bravo LLC, a private equity firm (see Thomson Reuters Acquires Tax Automation Concern). Terms were not disclosed.

Manatron provides property tax automation and land registry software for governments and municipalities with its flagship application, Government Revenue Management.
