Tomorrow's News

IMGCAP(1)]My 2013 New Year's resolutions were the typical promises to try new activities: rock climbing, parachuting, playing for a professional German basketball team.

Coincidentally, these are all hobbies of Accounting Today's past Accountants of the Month, which I had the opportunity to learn about while profiling the winners.

Our Facebook contest to "prove that accountants aren't boring," will come to a close in our next issue.

This in no way ends our mission to seek out the talented, wacky and dedicated CPAs among you, however. We will continue exploring interesting personalities in regular feature articles and spotlights, and encourage you to keep submitting stories about your exploits or those of your officemates.

Anything from unique skills to avant-garde firm initiatives is welcome, and can be sent to me at danielle.lee@sourcemedia.com or on Twitter @ATomorrow.

In the meantime, if I somehow fall short on that first set of resolutions (confidence is key -- I've already started learning German), you can help me realize some others. Accounting Today's online community is booming -- our Facebook page passed 10,000 fans in November -- and the engagement level is awesome.

We love the discussions on our Facebook page, witty retweets of our top stories and the caliber of our LinkedIn connections. With such great readership, it's time we checked in to find out what you want to see more of in 2013.

What kind of stories do you want covered? I'm particularly interested in which posts you find most helpful on the Accounting Tomorrow blog, so we can further explore those subjects and recruit new bloggers to share their expertise.

Tweet or e-mail me (with the subject "AT resolutions") your feedback so we can all have a more productive and enlightened 2013. Danke!
