Vena Solutions, a cloud-based financial software built on Excel functionality, has built a financial planning and analysis (FP&A) integration for Sage Intacct’s cloud accounting software. The integration is now available in the Sage Intacct Marketplace.

The integration between the two solutions gives customers access to their data from Sage Intacct, while also using Vena's workflow automation, reporting and analytics, and Excel interface to manage their FP&A. Finance and accounting teams can create budgets, forecasts and reports with real-time general ledger numbers, using the Excel models and templates they already know.

According to Don Mal, CEO of Vena Solutions, the integration made sense for Vena’s focus on mid-market companies.

“Sage Intacct is an accounting software product that’s really an enterprise resource planning ERP solution for mid-market clients,” he said. “Vena is also very strong in midmarket — we’re the fastest growing corporate performance management vendor according to various analysts, so it made sense for us to hook up with Sage Intacct.”

Mal said that Vena Solutions had been eyeing an integration with Sage Intacct before Sage acquired the company, and that this deal follows other “very successful partnerships with other vendors.”
