Viewabill, a cloud-based technology that provides real-time access and insights to service providers’ billing, activities and time entries, is actively targeting the accounting industry.

The Web and mobile app is designed to allow users to see where their money is being spent in real time and accounting firms to gain control over billable hours. Specifically, CPAs using Viewabill can keep their clients informed throughout the billing cycle, allowing them to know what to expect when they receive a monthly bill.

A dashboard lets clients request real-time clarification regarding activities, receive alerts or emails when specified thresholds are reached, and utilize a “Pencils Down” feature to notify providers when to stop work.

“For more than a century [many service providers] have provided complicated, murky and inaccurate bills to their clients, leaving them paying more and understanding less,” said Viewabill co-founder Robbie Friedman. “Viewabill eliminates surprises and provides a safe, efficient process.”
