Weaver Names Tax Partner-in-Charge in Fort Worth

Samuel F. Wren has been made partner-in-charge of Weaver’s tax and strategic business services.

Wren joined Weaver in 1991 when he began his career. He provides tax services to partnerships and corporations, focusing on the energy and real estate industries.

“Sam has garnered the respect of all of our partners and staff,” said Weaver managing partner and CEO Tommy D. Lawler in a statement. “We are fortunate to have such a qualified, dedicated and talented leader as Sam.”

Wren is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and its Fort Worth chapter, the American Institute of CPAs, the Information Technology Alliance and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. He currently serves as the treasurer of the Petroleum Accountants Society of Fort Worth and previously chaired the organization’s Small Oil and Gas Committee. 

He is the Tax Special Committee chair for the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies. His civic involvement includes being a member of Leadership Fort Worth (Class of 2006) and the TCU Alumni Association. He is also a volunteer with the United Way of Tarrant County and the American Red Cross. He formerly served on the board of the YMCA’s Camp Carter.
