Wild, Maney & Resnick LLP has merged Stephen W. Irwin & Company CPAs into its firm in Long Island, effective Nov. 1.
Irwin and his staff will practice from the combined firm’s location in Woodbury, N.Y., as a principal in Wild, Maney & Resnick.
“Adding the talent of Steve Irwin and his terrific staff helps us to better service our growing practice,” said Wilde Maney managing member Craig J. Wild in a statement. “We are enthusiastic about continuing the high level of service and expertise that Steve’s firm has provided its client base.”
Accounting Transition Advisors, a mergers and acquisitions consulting firm, assisted in the transaction. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Irwin said the merger would help his firm deepen its industries and specializations. “While we are very proud of the more than 30-year history of our firm, we also recognize that the next step for our team and clients is to merge with a firm of comparable quality that would enable us to expand services to our clients,” he said.
