Williams, a federal tax partner with the firm, will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the BC&RE practice, which serves real estate investment trusts, real estate investment funds, engineering & construction firms, and hospitality companies.

"Greg brings significant real estate experience and leadership to his new role and a deep understanding of the business issues, challenges and opportunities our BC&RE clients face today," said Scott Marcello, national leader of KPMG's financial service practice.  "He will lead a team of talented professionals who can help our clients successfully navigate an increasingly complex marketplace."

Previously, Williams served as the national account leader for the BC&RE practice, focused on expanding the portfolio of services offered to the practice's non-audit clients. He joined KPMG as a partner in 2002, after a long stint with Arthur Andersen.

He holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma.
