Wipfli, a Top 20 Firm based in Milwaukee, has merged in Mueller Prost, a Regional Leader headquartered in St. Louis, effective June 1.
The deal expands Wipfli’s footprint to Missouri and Southern California while adding to its employee base in India. As part of the deal, all of Mueller Prost’s 221 associates, including 21 partners, will be joining Wipfli. Wipfli will have more than 2,900 associates after the merger and about 300 partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Wipfli ranked 19th on Accounting Today’s 2021 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $401.81 million in annual revenue. Mueller Prost ranked 18th among the Regional Leaders in the Midwest, with $24.8 million in annual revenue.
Mueller Prost dates back to 1983 and provides tax, audit and assurance and business advisory services to over 4,300 clients in 47 states.

Mueller Prost’s client base focuses on closely held businesses and organizations in the health care, manufacturing, distribution, nonprofit, real estate and construction industries.
