Wolters Kluwer Buys Benefits Software Company

Wolter Kluwer Law Business has acquired ftwilliam.com, a company that provides online employee benefits software.

The Milwaukee-based company, also known as Fort William LLC, offers Web-based workflow software to automate the administrative needs and Form 5500 filing requirements of third-party pension and benefits administrators and other retirement plan professionals.

The company will become part of the CCH pension and benefits portfolio within the Business Compliance group at Wolters Kluwer’s Law Business unit. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Fort William, founded in 2005, has over 2,000 customers nationwide and 11 employees, all of whom will join Wolters Kluwer.
