Tax and business advisory firm WTP Advisors, headquartered in White Plains, N.Y., has acquired New York-based hedge fund consultancy Sala Associates.
Terms were not disclosed. Going forward, Sala Associates will do business as WTP Capital Markets.
The newly formed WTP Capital Markets unit will offer tailored strategies and applications for hedge funds in start-up and transitional phases, focusing on operational infrastructure, including fund administration and prime brokerage assessment, and selection as well as staffing.
Louis J. Sala, principal and founder of Sala Associates, will come aboard as chief executive of WTP Capital Markets.
