Xcentric Welcomes New Director of Technology

CPA-focused consulting firm and hosting service Xcentric has hired Bob Cross as its new director of technology.

Cross fills a position once held by Jason Conger, who in January became solutions architect at Splunk, which creates software to search, monitor and analyze machine-generated data by applications, systems and IT infrastructure at scale via a Web-style interface.

Cross has over 15 years of senior leadership experience at a number of large companies, including Home Depot, Compaq, Kaiser Permanente, and Beazer Homes. Most recently Cross ran IT governance, programs and planning for the Texas Department of Public Safety in Austin.

As director of IT at Home Depot he managed an IT operations department with over 200 employees that encompassed computer and network operations, facilities, production control and the help desk.

“Bob is a great asset to the Xcentric team and to our clients,” said Xcentric co-founder Christian James. “We were looking for someone to guide our technology vision as we continue to grow, and Bob was just that.”
