Barfield Murphy Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Music Video

Barfield, Murphy, Shank & Smith CPAs has released a humorous new music video to commemorate the Alabama firm’s 25th anniversary: “CPAs on Fleek: XXV.”

I had to actually look up the word “fleek” because I had never heard it before. Apparently, it has something to do with having perfectly groomed eyebrows or perfectly executed anything. It’s an internet thing that started out on Vine and moved from there to Ariana Grande to Kim Kardashian and thence to the rest of the world. Now CPA firms apparently are on fleek too.

The lyrics to the song on Barfield Murphy’s cute music video may offer some clues to the term:

“The Journal from on Wallstreet
Grab a copy, take a peak
Then you’ll see, nationally, everybody knows that we’re unique
But to be, be succinct, here’s the key, please retweet
We on fleek.”

I’m still puzzled by the term, but I guess whatever CPAs do, whether it’s taxes, auditing, advising their clients, accounting, financial planning, etc., they do it well at BMSS. Oh, and there’s a hashtag to go along with that too: #cpasonfleek
