New England CPA and consulting firm BerryDunn is taking advantage of the long winter to raise funds for nonprofit WinterKids.
The BerryDunn “Downhillers” team will be skiing for 24 straight hours at the second annual Downhill 24 March 8-9 to benefit the nonprofit dedicated to getting kids outside and active during the Maine winter season and developing healthy lifelong habits.
Last year, the firm’s team skied the entire 23 hours (the technical duration because of the time change) of the Mt. Abram ski race with only four members. This year, the team is fundraising via tax-deductible donations here.
More information on the race, which starts at noon March 8 and will include around-the-clock entertainment, is available at
For 16 years, WinterKids has provided fun winter activity to more than 100,000 Maine kids.
