CBM announces 2nd annual school supplies drive

Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM), a full-service CPA and business advisory firm with offices in Bethesda, Maryland and Washington, DC, is partnering with the Housing Opportunity Community Partners (HOCP) again this year for their annual school supplies drive. This year, HOCP’s goal is to collect enough school supplies to support 2,000 low-income students throughout Montgomery County, Maryland.

“Last year, our school supplies drive was a huge success,” said Amy Stark, marketing manager for CBM, in a statement. “As a result of the generous donations made by CBM staff, clients, and others in the community who supported the project, we were able to present the HOCP with over $1,800 worth of school supplies in the form of 30 stuffed backpacks. We expect this year’s school supplies to drive to be even more successful.”

Housing Opportunity Community Partners, a non-profit partner of the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County, aims to help low-income families, living in Montgomery County’s subsidized housing, to improve their quality of life, equip them to reach a higher level of self-sufficiency and to provide them the resources needed to break out of the cycle of poverty.

CBM is accepting donations for their School Supplies Drive from July 22nd through August 25th. Donations can be dropped off at either of CBM's locations:

  •  MD: 7910 Woodmont Avenue, Suite 500, Bethesda, MD 20814 | 301.986.0600
