E&Y connects with NYC students for day of service

As many as 500 Ernst & Young professionals will be deployed in New York City to deliver financial literacy, entrepreneurship, college and career-readiness education to 3,000 K-12 NYC public school students Friday, May 17, as part of the annual day of community service, EY Connect Day.

After taking over five schools in the Bronx, Manhattan and Queens from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the volunteer service day will end with a celebratory Bowl-A-Thon to raise $40,000 to benefit Junior Achievement, which Ernst & Young has supported for 31 years to reach close to 2,000 NYC public schools annually.

The participating Ernst & Young leaders will be: Carmine DiSibio, vice chair and managing partner of financial services; Gary Kozlowski, partner of financial services and board member of JANY; Margaret Dennis, partner of financial services, and Community Engagement co-champion; Ray Mikovits, partner of financial services and Community Engagement co-champion.
