The Institute of Management Accountants is seeking nominations for its Global Awards program, designed to recognize members and nonmembers who demonstrate skills reflecting IMA’s mission and core values.

For the first time this year, IMA is opening the awards to the general public, which can nominate colleagues before the March 28 submission deadline here.

The Distinguished Advocate Award is bestowed to a nonmember whose successes, achievements, dedication and professionalism bring credit to the IMA, the profession and themselves.

There are also four awards for IMA members including the Exemplary Leadership, Volunteer and Board Member, and Distinguished Member awards.

“With these awards, we recognize individuals who have contributed to IMA and the management accounting profession through their leadership, volunteerism and professional success,” stated Chris Mishler, member of IMA’s global board of directors’ volunteer leadership board committee and subcommittee chair for the global award review. “This year, we are pleased to accept nominations of nonmembers for the newly created Distinguished Advocate Award.”

The award winners will be honored in June at IMA’s 95th Annual Conference & Exposition in Minneapolis. For more information, contact IMA senior board liaison Pat Stefanczyk at (201) 474-1592 or pstefanczyk@imanet.org.
