Wisconsin CPA and business advisory firm Kolb+Co. is hosting its fourth annual Action Day May 31, mobilizing employees to collectively donate 300 hours to the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee’s Washington Park.
Established in 2007 as a neighborhood response to an increasing crime rate, Washington Park’s Urban Ecology Center branch provides year-round educational programs for kids, families and adults, including its cornerstone program, the Neighborhood Environmental Education Project.
Kolb+Co. employees will be volunteering from noon to 4 p.m., participating in activities like dismantling and rebuilding garden beds, building a fence and spreading mulch.
The firm celebrated a 50th anniversary by formalizing its commitment to community service, developing a Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE (Focus on Revitalizing Community Engagement) program. On past Action Days, FORCE teams have volunteered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Phantom Lake YMCA Camp.
