Lucky Friday!

How's your tax season going so far?

I have a special lucky charm to help me through mine this year.

Her name is Lucky and she's a tax therapy dog.

My kids have had a therapy dog at their school for 10 years. Amazon has had a dog-friendly policy for years, meaning dogs are registered and allowed to come to their corporate office. More companies are catching on. I always thought that was pretty cool, so this tax season, I thought it would be a fun, stress-relieving way to do something different at New Vision.

I mean, ‘cause you know I’m always looking to shake things up.

So, we created Lucky Friday! Every other Friday during tax season, Susan Ellison, our Tax Manager brings in her Wheaton Terrier, Lucky.

Needless to say, she has been a huge success. Our team members and customers love her and enjoying having an animal to pet to release the stress of Tax Season.

Don't worry; we did interview her on her first day to make sure she was a good fit for our firm. Now everybody has her visits marked on their calendars!

You know how I feel about nurturing firm culture. It's important. And it's especially important during tax season. There are a lot of inexpensive ways to create culture that everyone loves.
