NY firm donates Toys for Tots

Albany, N.Y., accounting and advisory firm Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs donated three new iPads to local U.S. Marine Corps to be used for coordinating this year’s Toys for Tots campaign.

This year, the local campaign, which has been providing toys to children in need during the holiday season for more than 45 years, aims to donate toys to about 200,000 children, according to Toys for Tots coordinator GySgt Albert Roman.

"We are extremely grateful that a local company was able to meet our request," said Roman. "With TBC's contribution, we are better prepared to run this drive efficiently and achieve our goal."

"Through our 'TBC Gives Back' program, our shareholders, partners and staff enthusiastically support a wide variety of charitable and community organizations," said managing partner James W. Drislane in a statement. "When TBC learned that the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign was in need of three iPads to support this year's toy drive, we were happy to step up and help them in a unique way."

The toy drive kicked off Oct. 4 at Integra Networks in Latham, with more than 400 locations around the capital region accepting donations. For donation and volunteering information, visit here.
