WebsterRogers launches LEAP for leadership

South Carolina accounting and consulting firm WebsterRogers announced the launch of their inaugural summer leadership program LEAP (Leadership, Excellence, Achievement and Performance).

The two-day program, May 30-31 in the firm’s Charleston office, is open to high-performing college students from select South Carolina universities currently majoring in accounting and intending to be CPA eligible after attaining their undergraduate or graduate degrees.

The universities chosen for the program’s first year were the University of South Carolina, College of Charleston, Francis Marion University and Coastal Carolina University.

“We are extremely excited to launch such a unique program,” stated WebsterRogers human resources director Wayne Musick. “We hope that by doing this we will provide valuable insight into public accounting as a career for the students as well as be able to identify strong potential employment candidates for the future.”

The selected students will shadow WebsterRogers professionals, participate in panel discussions with peers and industry professionals, develop leadership skills for the recruiting process, and learn about different types of accounting services.
