Thomson Reuters Acquires BizActions

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has acquired BizActions, expanding the company’s marketing services.

BizActions is one of the largest digital newsletter and Web marketing providers for accounting firms in North America.

BizActions offers customizable electronic newsletters, client relationship building services, Web-based marketing, and search engine optimization to help accounting firms generate sales leads, increase their brand recognition and measure their marketing effectiveness.

BizActions’ flagship product is its Web-based electronic newsletter system. A subscription includes original content to distribute up to 52 e-mail newsletters a year, a dedicated customer support representative, and detailed reports on marketing effectiveness.

Thomson Reuters’ acquisition of BizActions will expand the company’s accounting existing marketing offerings, which include PDI Global, which provides print and electronic newsletters for accounting firms; Emochila, a provider of custom Web sites and online tools for the tax and accounting profession, and NetClient CS, a provider of secure online portals that allow accounting firms to access software and documents, transfer data, and convey information from any Internet connection

“These online marketing solutions help accounting firms achieve one of their primary objectives — growth,” said Keith Haurie, vice president of emerging products for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters, in a statement.
