After serving as managing director of Gumbiner Savett Inc. for nearly 10 years, Michael Savoy, CPA has decided to step down from his position as the head of the leadership team of the firm. Savoy will assume a role as a full-time client service partner, using his tax and accounting skills of over 40 years with middle market companies and individuals. … Kevin Kiyan, Ph.D. has taken on the role of managing director in the US National Tax office Andersen Tax’s. Kiyan's practice will focus on transfer pricing. Prior to Andersen Tax, Kevin was an executive director at EY and responsible for leading the Transfer Pricing and Economics practice in Los Angeles. His practice covered all facets of transfer pricing including planning analyses, documentation, controversy, advanced pricing agreements and IP migration, among others. He also led the firm’s transfer pricing efforts in the Engineering and Construction industry, and used his background in systems architecture to help clients improve their transfer pricing data reporting systems and processes. … PwC US announced 18 partner promotions in its San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. HONG KONG

Yoichiro Ogawa has been appointed as the new global managing director for Asia Pacific firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited. He assumes the new role starting 1 June 2015 for a term of four years. Ogawa's appointment is part of the new leadership team put in place by Punit Renjen, the new DTTL Global CEO whose term also commenced on 1 June 2015. Punit Renjen succeeds Barry Salzberg, who has served as Global CEO for the past four years.

ILLINOIS

James Wagner has been named partner-in-charge of Sikich LLP’s manufacturing and distribution practice. Wagner will assume his new responsibilities while continuing to serve as a partner in Sikich’s Milwaukee office and working with local middle-market businesses and their owners. His core areas of specialization include cash flow analysis, multi-state tax issues and sales and use tax compliance.

INDIANA

Kruggel Lawton CPAs is pleased to announce that James Champer has joined the firm as a senior manager based out of their South Bend, Ind., office. Joseph Damiano has been named co-managing partner of SaxBST LLP. Damiano joined SaxBST in 1995 and was named partner in 2004.
