The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) have announced their 2017 Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Video Contest, in which students and young professionals are urged to submit original short films (30 seconds to 2 mins. in length) on the CMA certification and how it impacts people's lives.

This year's theme is “You’ve Got to Earn it." The Institute suggests topics including pride in the CMA certification, careers available with a CMA, and study tips for the CMA exam, but students are encouraged to submit any video they feel best represents what "the CMA is all about."

IMA’s panel of judges will review all submissions and select three finalists, which will then be featured on the Institute's Facebook page on February 20. The number of likes each video receives will determine the three winners. The winning video will be announced on March 1st.

The Grand Prize winner will earn $2,500 with travel costs for up to 5 team members to attend the IMA’s Annual Conference, held June 17-21 in Denver. All winning team members will also receive the Wiley CMAexcel CMA Review Course Scholarship, worth $1,795. Second and third place winners will earn $1,500 and $1,000, respectively, with up to five team members also receiving a Wiley CMAexcel scholarship, worth $470 each. Lastly, up to 5 Honorable Mentions will win $100 Visa Gift Cards.

All entries for the contest must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. For more information on the contest and the IMA, head to their site here.
