Tax preparation chain Jackson Hewitt Tax Service now offers American Express Serve for clients to receive tax refunds.
American Express Serve is a reloadable prepaid account that also includes tools to track and categorize spending, establish monthly budgets by category and set aside money for future purchases.
Jackson Hewitt maintains that clients who add their federal refund to a Serve account can access the refund up to two days faster than a standard e-deposit from the IRS.
For clients with a minimum prep fee of $150, Hewitt will offer $50 on an American Express Serve Card the same day they file.
