Accounting and advisory firm Marcum announced this week that they will once again be closing its offices the day before Thanksgiving to volunteer in local communities. The second annual Marcum Day of Service will be held Wednesday, November 23 and benefit Feeding America and its 200 member food banks.

The AICPA announced on Monday that 24 students have been selected for this year's AICPA Foundation Two-Year Transfer Scholarship award. The scholarship is awarded to students transferring from a two-year institution to a four-year institution to achieve a degree in accounting.

EY announced on Monday that their annual EY Vantage program - which sees some of the firm's top professionals travel abroad to aid entrepreneurs at no fee - has concluded for the year. Twenty-eight EY professionals donated over 6,700 hours of service this year - a figure equivalent to over $2.5 million in services - to help entrepreneurs in developing economies.
