The National Conference of CPA Practitioners installed its new officers and directors on Oct. 23, 2019, at The Fox Hollow in Woodbury, coinciding with NCCPAP’s 40th anniversary celebration. The 2019-20 officers, and their firms and location, are: president Neil Fishman, Fishman Associates CPAs, Boynton Beach, Florida; executive vice president Mark Stewart Jr., Feldstein & Stewart LLP, New City, New York; vice president Scott Cheslowitz, Rothenberg & Peters PLLC, Great Neck, New York; vice president Frank Gallo, Gallo & Company CPAs LLP, Jericho, New York; vice president Stephen Palmerio, Stephen L. Palmerio CPA, Broomall, Pennsylvania; treasurer Stuart Lang, GR Reid Associates LLP, Woodbury, New York; secretary Frank Sands, Sands, Gililland & Co. PC, Plano, Texas; and immediate past president Stephen Mankowski, Mankowski Associates CPA LLC, Hatboro, Pennsylvania. The New York State Society of CPAs’ Foundation for Accounting Education hosted its inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Conference on Oct. 23, 2019, featuring keynote speaker Natara Holloway, vice president of business operations and strategy for football operations of the National Football League. Holloway was joined by other professionals in accounting and other industries as they discussed how to make the profession more diverse and inclusive.
